Project 11: Penduka
In Namibia our last project is located: Penduka in Windhoek. Penduka is an empowerment organization for woman and local communities in Windhoek, Namibia. Penduka works with the women of Katutura and other communities to develop livelihoods and a better quality of life through a focus on work, trust, mutual care and support.
It pays particular attention to women who are disadvantaged through poverty, disability, ill-health or lack of education. It empowers them to develop their skills and talents and markets these to the international and national community through crafts and community based tourism.
