Travels & Route

Because our home is located in Netherlands, In2Afrika must offer its support from a considerable distance. A large part of our project, however, actually took place on the continent itself! Six months after the birth of the project, we left for a trip of more than five months on the African continent. From February to July 2015 we traveled from north to south, using only public transportation.

This adventure is an essential part of what In2Afrika is. After months of preparation, in which the relationship with the project was slowly built up, the trip was a fantastic opportunity. A chance to visit the projects, to see and show. And in a broader sense an opportunity to the offer a platform to the African continent, its countries, regions and people we saw there. Positive, always focused on the future. To show that we are not dealing with a dark continent, but with a continent full of people who want to move forward.

The trip was a great adventure, which strengthens In2Afrika in its work until today . Down here you can see what route we covered, and what projects we thereby encountered.

Our route covered 11 African countries. From North to South we travel from Alexandria (Egypt) to Windhoek (Namibia), about 17.000km.
Check out this interactive map with our route, and below the exact discription including all the projects.
From the south of Limburg to South-Africa, that's In2Afrika!
